St. Louis surgeon. John C. Morfit (b. 1874) received his medical degree from College of Physicians and Surgeons, Baltimore in 1895. He did a post-graduate course at Johns Hopkins Medical School. He was resident gynecologist at Baltimore City Hospital (1895-1896). From 1897, he was engaged in practice in St. Louis with a specialty in surgery.
